International Surf Night

It's ten degrees outside, my car is a large black and white snowdrift, perfect mood for some surf music.
Blue Stingray was putting on a free show up at our Stonewall Tavern.

Got up there and the place was packed. A mixture of UConn students, other surf bands and some of our crew.

The second band was from Moscow, USSR. Vivisectors Gulag Tunes.

The dude, Mikyal, or Mike as the promoter called him, was like a big Russian Lemmy.
They played Russian prison songs with surf arrangements. As out of place surf music is in New England Winter, it really must be underground in Russia. Isn't music great?

The legendary Triumph Billy was there with his wife.

Savannah was a breath of fresh air. Just a silly, sexy girl jumping around and having fun.

About 10 seconds after we tagged her and her friend Tiffany, their boyfriends pulled the plug and dragged them out of the bar.

These kids were singing Polish youth camp songs at the top of their lungs, actually entertaining.

Ute is from Bavaria.

So at a little roadhouse in the countryside, we had Russians, Germans, Polish and who knows what else. It was an unexpectedly fun night.
