Stonington Borough via Taftville

Thursday was a nice ride in Eastern Connecticut. Checked out an old mill that is really spectacular when seen in person. Ponemah Mill was the largest cotton mill in America back in the late 1800's. Now empty.

The tour also hit an Irish Catholic cemetery down the road from the mill and Stonington Borough, a real life fishing village that looks like an 1800's time capsule. The British Navy actually attacked Stonington in 1814, the cannons that defeated our Limey friends stand on the village green.
