The yearly Winter trip to Mahhattan, NYC was yesterday.
Got on the train in New Haven, CT. It is so much easier than driving to the city, especially on a Friday afternoon.
At five pm we were in Grand Central Terminal. The plan was to take a taxi over to the Javits convention center. Turns out available cabs are scarce at 5pm on a Friday. We kept walking and looking.
We ended up walking the whole way.
Some people rode in the subzero weather.
The AMA Museum had the best display with a slew of Harley-Davidsons ringing their stand. USDA Prime.
Looks like Hacksaw's new Triumph.
TT Cycles had 3 Triumph choppers rolled out.
Ducati Paso was used in a roll around work stand display.
Moto Guzzi V7 Vintage captures the late 60's flavor quite well.
The bad-ass Victory Hammer has a Shelby paint scheme this year.
It is hard to believe, but this was not the sexiest or best looking thing at the Ducati display. Close, very close.
Italian pornography.
Ready to invade the low countries.
This is our good old pal Joan Horst. She is the national pre-owned BMW auto manager for BMWNA. Came up on the bike side of the biz. She let me ride her new R1200S at a Louden trackday back in 2002. This Summer she went on a two week African Motorcycle Safari with some BMW people. A great girl.
I think the dude giving bunny ears is gonna be washing a few used BMWs.
Various fender fluff trying out the driver seat.
Roland Sands had two decent bikes, a chopper and a Ducati Motard.
Royal Enfield had a large set up. Does anyone really buy these things?
Royal Hack
Royal Cafe (doubt it tops the ton)
Royal Thruxton
Big news at Honda was the Fury. I haven't been this excited since the '81 Virago.
Just like Valentino
Little Bikes
for little riders
best paint at the show
Naughtiness at the Harley set up.

Time to leave.
Top of the World at the Empire State Building.
Back to the rails.
A really fun day in the City. I can make it through Winter now.
